Artist’s Statement

The remixthebook trailers were a joint remix effort by Mark Amerika (text source), Mark McCoin (micro-cam footage), Chad Mossholder (audio) and Rick Silva (video editing and 3d animation). The artists collaborated over the internet from their individual homes and travels throughout North America and beyond. Sourced from “the source material everywhere,” improvised on paper and in camera, rendered as experimental sound and 3D, the final remixthebook video trailer becomes greater than the remix of its parts.
